Lead coach and owner, Josh Ricketts, collecting his  masters of science in strength and conditioning following 4 years of study at the university of Gloucestershire, three year which was spent studying his undergraduate degree in sports therapy.

Who is Josh Ricketts ?

One of the UK’s elite performance coaches. Josh has provided outstanding strength and conditioning to a variety of athletes from professional Rugby to your local mechanic, optimising performance whilst maintaining longevity to your career. As an athlete himself, Josh competed in a variety of sports on the national stage such as Athletics, Swimming and American Football, alongside being regionally recognised in many other disciplines. From this experience the love for becoming the best athlete possible was born. Josh attended the University of Gloucestershire to complete his Bachelors degree in Sports Therapy and during this time he began to start coaching some of the sports clubs and individual athletes within the university. By reducing non contact and soft tissue injuries within the club, the athletes availability for training doubled, helping turn  failing programs into powerhouse teams in their respective divisions.  Whilst being able to treat injuries, Josh developed a real passion for the rehabilitation of athletes following injuries or surgery where he could continue to improve their strength and this led him to study for a Masters degree in Strength and Conditioning Sciences. Whilst studying for his Masters, Josh was appointed lead Strength and Conditioning coach at a leading Independent day school where he gained extensive experience in developing youth sport, working with a broad range of athletes from professional motorsport, to rugby and from modern pentathlon to academy netball players, leaving this role to pursue a dream of an American football career.  Josh spent the summer of 2023 playing football in Canada, whilst working with a number of committed athletes remotely. This enabled Josh to develop the tools and experience to work remotely with athletes who need support but prefer to complete their individual programs wherever they want, whenever they want, whilst giving 1-1 support to those who prefer an in person session. It's not just athletes that benefit from Josh's extensive strength and conditioning knowledge, those starting out on a journey without any formal training or gym experience value the individual support and training programs that Josh develops to suit individual needs.
